Foluke Ademokun is a trainer on Entrepreneurship Development and a Gender Equality Advocate with Monitoring and Evaluation Expertise spanning more than two decades.
Currently, she is the Executive Coordinator of Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, a Nigerian registered non-profit committed to the education of vulnerable children and the empowerment of women, particularly, widows across Nigeria. She serves on a range of committees focused on managing issues relating to Child Protection, Women’s Rights and Empowerment, and the reintegration of Irregular Migrants. She is an experienced Social Analyst, Livelihoods and Resettlement Planning Projects Consultation Expert.
She is a member of the Board of Trustees, Widows Advocacy Coalition in Nigeria (WACIN), the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, the Netherlands Institutions Alumni Association of Nigeria (NIAAN) and holds a post-graduate degree in Public Administration. As an author and researcher, she has presented papers at Conferences across the world on livelihoods, entrepreneurship and women empowerment, including coordinating publications highlighting support for widows in Nigeria and the management of Sexual and Gender-based Violence.
Foluke is a recipient of several awards on youth, women and development, including an award from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs for contributing to national efforts at addressing Gender-based Violence (GBV) and supporting women economic empowerment. Presently, she manages a range of projects on retaining vulnerable children in school, improving the capacity of women farmers and increasing women’s knowledge in technology as well as, increasing their access to device.
