G.O. Lawal, Co-Founder and CEO, Coappt will be speaking at the Social Impact Tech Summit 2025!

Ganiu Olamilekan Lawal is a social innovator passionate about creating innovative solutions that bridge the gap between Africa and the rest of the world, making it a desirable place to live in.  G.O. Lawal as he is popularly called believes that technology is a crucial tool for driving African development. He is committed and passionate about digital inclusion, thereby closing the gap of the digital divide in Nigeria and Africa at Large.  

G.O. Lawal is the Co-founder and CEO of Coappt, a social impact focused technology and digital media startup company with a mission: To connect social impact professionals, organizations, and enthusiasts to tools, resources, and communities necessary to succeed. Coappt Solution currently helps over 20 organizations across Nigeria in launching  their digital presence. He currently leads the Coappt team through the process of building a digital platform that serves as a digital ecosystem and suite of tools for social impact organizations, professionals and enthusiasts to connect, collaborate and get access to tools that will enhance their productivity.

In 2023 through SiiAafrica Initiatives for Youth Development, a youth focused non-profit he founded to leverage technology in advancing youth development and good governance, G.O. Lawal championed the Vote Not Fight Campaign in Lagos State towards a peaceful 2023 general election reaching over 50,000 youths, got 2 gubernatorial candidates to sign the “Election Peace PACT’, engaged over 15 election candidates at different levels, engaged over 15 celebrities and influencers, got 3 gubernatorial candidates to sign the Governance Agenda for Inclusive Nigeria (GAIN) Advocacy and also engaged over 30 major stakeholders in Lagos State.

For this effort, he was nominated by National Democratic Institute (NDI) as one of the few Nigerian thought leaders to a round table discussion with the United State Assistant Secretary of State on Africa Affairs. He is currently the Lagos State Focal Person, leading  the National Democratic Institute  Youth-Led Electoral Reform Project in Lagos engaging youth leaders and other stakeholders towards the Nigeria electoral reform, currently reaching over 5,000 youths in Lagos state.

G.O. Lawal initiated and led the Artificial Intelligence revolution youth project launched with the goal of equipping young Nigerians with AI skills needed in solving societal challenges reaching over 3,500 students and trained over 600 students from 5 higher institutions in Lagos

With extensive experience of over a decade as a development professional, He has  managed over $2,000,000 in grants from prestigious national and international donors such as United States Aid for InterNational Development (USAID), United Kingdom Aid for International Development (UKAID), ActionAid, Ford Foundation, International Fund for Electoral Systems (IFES), National Democratic Institute (NDI), and MacArthur Foundation across 23 Nigerian states.

G.O. Lawal exemplifies leadership in leveraging technology for social good,  through experience in program design and implementation, project management, research, project monitoring and evaluation, impact storytelling,  resource mobilization, coupled with digital skills like web design, graphics design, social media management and  cinematography.

He is a recognized digital inclusion advocate, sought after public speaker, social commentator, facilitator, trainer, consultant and program host for corporate, community, and civil society organizations engagements on national, and international topics such as gender equality, governance, election, youth development, technology and personal development.

G.O. Lawal sits as a Board Member of the Initiative for Women and Girls Right Advancement (IWOGRA) in Abuja. He is a 2023 Alumni of the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Program, 2022 Fellow of the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) of the United State Consulate, Lagos, Vice President (Project) at the United States Government Exchange Alumni Association (USGEAA)  Lagos Chapter, President, Power Up Naija Movement, Former Senior Program Officer, Women Advocate Research and Documentation Center (WARDC), Youth President and Pastor, Triumphant Christian Centre (TCC). 

He holds a B.Ed. degree in Educational Guidance and Counseling from the prestigious University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara state. He inspires his followers and audience with his philosophy of “Live In Fulfillments Everyday” (L.I.F.E).
