The Showcase Arena creates opportunities for direct engagement with potential users, investors, development partners, policymakers, media representatives, corporate organizations, and other ecosystem stakeholders. This allows finalists to build visibility, generate leads, establish partnerships, receive real-time feedback, and expand their network within Africa’s growing social impact and technology ecosystem.
Selection Process
The TECH SDGs Demo Challenge will follow a three-stage selection process:
Stage 1: Application Phase
Interested innovators and organizations are required to apply by completing this application form.
Applicants are expected to provide details about their solution, the problem being addressed, target beneficiaries, impact potential, innovation approach, and scalability.
Stage 2: Semi-Finalist Selection
After a review process, outstanding solutions will be selected as Semi-Finalists.
Semi-Finalists will then be required to create and publish a 60-second video on their social media platforms explaining:
– Their solution
– The problem they are solving
– The impact they are creating
– How participating in the TECH SDGs Demo Challenge will help advance and scale their innovation
This stage is designed to amplify visibility for participating solutions while allowing the selection committee to assess communication, public engagement, clarity of impact, and innovation potential.
Stage 3: Finalist Selection & Live Demo
Following the semi-final stage, 6 Finalists will be selected to showcase and demo their solutions live at the Social Impact Tech Summit 2026.
Finalists will have the opportunity to present directly before summit attendees, ecosystem leaders, investors, development partners, policymakers, and technology stakeholders.
In addition to the live demo session, finalists will also receive a free stand at the Showcase Arena where they can further exhibit their solutions, interact directly with attendees, engage potential partners and users, and increase visibility for their innovation.
